About Us
Horace Wheat, a successful roofing contractor, founded Wheats Home & Building Center in 1972 in Crossroads, MS. He soon expanded into other building materials. In 1984, Mark Hines joined the company and took over day-to-day operations. Our second location was created in 1985. Both locations have expanded and been remodeled since, and our product offerings are constantly evolving to meet the needs of both our builder and DIY customers.
